About this app

At CSOB, we believe that managing your finances should be convenient, modern, and secure at the same time. That is why we bring you the ČSOB SmartToken mobile application, designed for secure login and authorization of operations in the bank’s digital services.
With the application, you can easily and securely:

• confirm payments and other active operations
• log in to electronic banking
• authorize online card payments (3D Secure)
• activate the ČSOB SmartBanking application

After activation, the application also works offline, without an internet connection – depending on the type of operation, you can confirm it directly in the app or by scanning a QR code and entering an authorization code.
After installation, the app will guide you through the activation in just a few steps.
You can choose from several modern and secure activation methods:

• activation using an identity document
• identity verification using facial biometrics
• transfer of activation from an old device to a new one via QR code
• activation via the ČSOB info line

For new clients, the process is even simpler – thanks to new technology, the application can process the provided data and complete the activation conveniently, without duplicate identity verification.

For security reasons, this application is not supported on rooted or otherwise modified operating systems and devices.
Biometric authentication is supported only on selected devices and for selected types of transactions.
The application is supported on devices running Android 9.0 or later.

a bit harder to not use biometrics for authentification generally, easy to use app.

Good app. However, in order to activate it, it is required to call the customer service and get an activation code. The problem is that almost no one speaks English, and the agent always says that an english speaking colleague will call, but no one ever does. I tried several times. The process should be automated. Really frustrating and tempted to cancel my csob credit card once and for all.

I tried to pay online only for the transaction to not appear for confirmation. I tried to redo the operation but instead got a notif for the old transaction, which was marked as invalid and the new transaction nowhere to be seen. I have no idea what happened but this application royally sucks from the get go. You should reconsider the team who came up with a standalone application for confirming transactions instead of implementing it into the general one 😑
