About this app

At ČSOB, we believe that managing your finances should be comfortable and secure at the same time. That's why we're bringing you the ČSOB SmartToken mobile application for generating one-time codes. As a client, you'll need these to confirm certain types of payments and log in to electronic banking, especially if you use MojaČSOB or ČSOB Business Banking internet banking.

After downloading the application from the official Google Play, simply activate it in a few steps.
The app will automatically offer you the most suitable activation methods. This can include facial biometric verification, transferring activation from another device, or verifying your identity via the ČSOB infoline.

You'll need an internet connection to activate ČSOB SmartToken. Later, after activation, you can use the app offline, but it's always most comfortable in online mode.
The application may request certain permissions and access during installation. It's up to you to grant it, of course. However, the permissions and access granted may affect the comfort of using the application. For example, if you do not grant the app permission to access your camera, you will not be able to log in to it using facial biometrics.

It is great that today we have a bank at our fingertips, directly on our mobile phone. But it is smart not to forget about security. Therefore, never provide the generated data and codes from the app to other people and do not enter them into websites or applications that do not belong to ČSOB.

For security reasons, this application does not work on rooted or otherwise modified operating systems and devices.
Biometrics is supported only on selected devices and only for some types of transactions.
The application is supported for phones with the Android 9.0 operating system and newer.

a bit harder to not use biometrics for authentification generally, easy to use app.

Good app. However, in order to activate it, it is required to call the customer service and get an activation code. The problem is that almost no one speaks English, and the agent always says that an english speaking colleague will call, but no one ever does. I tried several times. The process should be automated. Really frustrating and tempted to cancel my csob credit card once and for all.

I tried to pay online only for the transaction to not appear for confirmation. I tried to redo the operation but instead got a notif for the old transaction, which was marked as invalid and the new transaction nowhere to be seen. I have no idea what happened but this application royally sucks from the get go. You should reconsider the team who came up with a standalone application for confirming transactions instead of implementing it into the general one 😑
