Celestia simulates many different types of celestial objects. From planets and moons to star clusters and galaxies, you can visit every object in the expandable database and view it from any point in space and time. The position and movement of solar system objects is calculated accurately in real time at any rate desired.

Interactive Planetarium | Celestia serves as a planetarium – for an observer on any celestial object.

You can easily navigate to any world and land on its surface. When used as a planetarium, Celestia shows accurate positions of solar system objects in the sky. You can switch labels and other supporting features on and off with hotkeys, or zoom in and out on an object of interest, for example Jupiter’s system of moons.

Celestia’s catalogues can be easily expanded. There are many different add-ons available containing new objects like comets or stars, high-resolution textures of Earth and other well mapped solar system bodies, as well as 3D models for asteroids and spacecraft on precise trajectories. Even fictional objects from well-known sci-fi franchises can be found.

Ratings and reviews

Beautiful space explorer with accurate scale of the objects. You can freely roam around the near universe, maybe not to the same extent as Space Engine, but to a good extent. The only thing I did not like was the fact that black hole outer rings spin as fast as the inner rings, and the lack of optical distortion, but I would think that depends solely on the implementation of the add-on they come with. At any rate, this is the best space exploration app I have found on the Play Store.

The game is awesome I love it super cool graphics everything you see in universe sandbox but there are a lot of problems 1 when you install some add ons like an exo planet when you go it its just the star and the planet in nowhere to be found except some add ons all the other dont work and pls add crashing terraforming the part that we love abt every space game but again super good game 3 starts at maximum and add other galaxies and universes when we can go in pls read this review celestia

can u add freecam cuz im tired locking on the same star planet or galaxy and plus, i tried searching earth it says "object not found" like bro its a planet plus, my screen freezes like dude and can u make it that ee can go on land on planet and stars so please make it happen
