HOW CETERA WORKS

1. Make a post that fits the moment: add photos, songs, weather, movies, books, and more.
2. Choose who sees it (everyone, friends, close friends, or just you) and how long it stays up.
3. Keep the convo going: comment, reply to start a private chat, or create a group chat.

This is what I want social media to be. A place where you can connect with the userbase as a whole, but keep it to those close friends when you need. Devs are active and receptive and just so, SO lovely. The UI is fantastic, so easy and simple and clear. Settings aren't buried under mountains of junk, and there's a clear delete button if you ever want to delete your account.... But you won't want to. It's a place of comfort, hilarity, acceptance, and downright good memes. Love u Sean & Hadley!!!

Most negative reviews are from people banned for posting transphobic rhetoric and who want a safe space to post bigotry without repercussions. This is not the app for that. Yes there are some peculiarities (such as: new accounts are restricted from the latest feed until activity or the passage of time unlocks that feed) but I find it incredibly refreshing to be using an app run by admins who refuse to let bigotry slide. Report responses can be hit or miss but it's a very small team.

the only social media I feel safe using. levels of privacy features from posting to public, friends only, close friends only, and only yourself, mutuals tend to become very close, a tight knit community (even if we have our occasional discourse problems). I've made some very treasured friends here and I'm so grateful it exists. the moderation team is very reasonable when dealing with reports and community safety, from all I've seen.
