The first lessons WAIT for you: the groove holds on every step until you hit the right piece, so you learn the pattern before you worry about tempo. Then the metronome comes in and time starts counting for real.

Every lesson lights up the piece to hit on the kit itself and shows the groove on a staff that scrolls with you — you see what is coming instead of guessing. Drag the staff back to drill the bar that is giving you trouble. Pass the exam and the whole level unlocks at once.

Rudiments, backbeat, eighth notes, rock, blues, funk, reggae and jazz ride: a real practice path for beginners, not a pile of loose exercises.
