About this app

Don't let interruptions ruin your flow.

A single call or notification can break your focus. Quietune keeps your practice time quiet, and now lets you practice from real scores too.

Import Scores
Open MusicXML (.musicxml, .mxl) and zip files straight from LINE, Files or other apps. Pick the parts you want; the original file is kept. Change the tempo and restore it any time.

AI Score Reading
Photograph a score, or pick a photo or PDF, and AI turns it into a practice piece. It uses Google Gemini with your own key from Google AI Studio. Photos go straight from your phone to Google, never through us. AI can make mistakes, so check each bar against the original and edit before saving. If you have a MusicXML file, importing it is the most accurate.

Staff View
Read the whole score on a staff, or switch the game to staff mode. Triplets and any other tuplets are shown and timed exactly.

Listen Once
Hear a piece before you play it. Each instrument has its own sound: realistic samples from the MS Basic SoundFont, with erhu and dizi from real recordings. Chords are played too.

Rhythm Practice
Chord and multi-voice parts are scored on rhythm only, and any song has a rhythm practice switch so you can focus on timing.

Beat Cues
In the game, follow the beat with a metronome icon, or hear a woodblock through headphones. Two latency calibrations in Settings keep sound and screen in time. With Bluetooth headphones, you're reminded to calibrate latency.

Headphone Accompaniment
With headphones on, the other parts of the same score play along while you practice yours. Without headphones it is practice only, with no score.

Fingering Charts
Charts for violin, cello, erhu, guitar and ukulele show the strings with a dot where to press.

Ensemble Sync
Up to about 60 people in the same room join with a code or QR code. The leader starts, and everyone's score scrolls in sync. Display only, no scoring, nicknames only.

Share Your Score
Turn a result into an image with a QR code, in a classic or colorful sticker style with 1 to 5 stars. Showing the date and time is up to you.

Practice Recording
Turn on "Record this practice" before a game to record as you play, then listen back on the results page. Share it as a short video with your score card. Recordings stay on your phone.

Beginner Rhythm Hints
A beat grid and counting syllables sit under the notes, with syncopations, triplets and notes tied across the bar line marked. "Listen to the rhythm" plays a bar on woodblock, slower or looped, so you can tap along. After you play, tips point to the bars to work on. Includes 4 rhythm practice pieces.

Practice Mode
Start with one tap and see how long you've been focused; it ends after 60 minutes by default. On iOS, which doesn't let apps switch Focus, a one-time Personal Automation (with a step-by-step guide) turns Focus on and off for you.

Metronome
Native audio engine, four sounds, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 and 6/8 time with accents, an easy-drag BPM dial and tap tempo.

Tuner
Supports various instruments and string configurations. You can adjust the A4 reference frequency and switch to transposed notation for transposing instruments. It also includes a consistency meter to help you monitor the stability of your pitch, rather than claiming absolute accuracy.

Practice Logs
Your practice sessions are automatically recorded. Track your daily streaks, weekly and monthly totals, and view your progress with a monthly heat map.

Your Privacy
Tuner and game audio is processed in real time on your device and never uploaded. Audio is recorded only when you turn on "Record this practice", and recordings stay on your phone; sharing is up to you. Practice logs stay on your phone. There are no accounts and nothing is synced to the cloud. Ensemble Sync sends only your nickname and part, so everyone stays together. Score photos are sent only when you use AI score reading, straight to Google with your own key.

What’s new

What's new:
- AI score reading: turn a photo or PDF of a score into a practice piece with your own Google Gemini key. Photos go straight from your phone to Google, never through us. AI can make mistakes: check and edit against the original. MusicXML import is still the most accurate.
- Better sharing: vertical 9:16 practice videos for Reels and Stories, ending with your score, a QR code and a download link. A ready-made caption is copied for you to paste.
