About this app

Swearly helps you learn how people really speak.

Traditional language apps teach formal vocabulary. Swearly goes further by teaching the slang, everyday expressions, friendly banter, insults and swear words you may actually hear from native speakers.

Each expression can include:

Meaning and explanation
Pronunciation and transliteration
Literal translation
Natural usage examples
Cultural context
Severity rating
Warnings about when not to use it

Know before you say it

Swearly uses a five-level severity system:

🟢 Mild
🟡 Informal
🟠 Rude
🔴 Offensive
☠️ Extremely Offensive

Context matters. Something that sounds funny between close friends may be highly offensive when said to a stranger.
