7Degreez is a peer-to-peer car rental app: book a car from a real person in your neighborhood, or list your own car and earn from the days it would sit parked.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Verify once: a quick identity and driver’s license check
2. Find a car nearby for your dates and pick a protection plan
3. Meet the host, photograph the car together, and drive
4. Return it, photograph it again, and your deposit is released
FIND THE RIGHT CAR
• Browse cars on a map or as a list, with prices on every pin
• Search by place, pickup and return dates, and times — only cars actually free for your window are shown
• Filter by price, vehicle type, make, transmission, seats, features, EV, instant book and delivery
• Save cars you like and come back to them later
KNOW EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BOOK
• Full photo gallery and specs: year, trim, fuel or electric range, seats, transmission and features
• Trip rules up front: miles included per day and per trip, the rate for extra miles, pets, smoking, and minimum and maximum trip length
• A live availability calendar
• Host profile with rating, verified badge and how quickly they usually reply
• An itemized price before you pay: daily rate, discounts, cleaning and delivery fees, protection plan, service fee, taxes and the refundable deposit
BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE
• Instant book, or send a request the host accepts or declines
• Choose a protection plan at checkout, with the deductible stated before you pay
• Have the car delivered to your address where the host offers delivery
• Pay by card through Stripe; the deposit is held, not charged, and released after the trip
• Cancellation outcomes are shown before you cancel, and refunds are issued automatically
A HANDOVER NOBODY CAN ARGUE WITH
• At pickup and return, both sides photograph the car from eight angles, plus the odometer and fuel or charge level
• Every photo is timestamped and the record is sealed — it can’t be edited afterwards
• Extra miles and fuel are reconciled automatically against the listing’s rules
• If there’s damage, the host opens a claim with photo evidence, the renter responds with their own, and disputed claims go to the 7Degreez team to decide
DURING THE TRIP
• Chat with your host or renter inside each trip, with photo attachments
• Ask to change dates, extend the trip or move the pickup; the new price is shown before anyone accepts
• Report an incident — accident, breakdown, damage or theft — with photos, straight from the trip
• Pickup and return reminders, and prompts to complete the photo record
HOST YOUR CAR
• List a car in minutes: photos in the order you choose, specs, pickup point and an optional delivery radius and fee
• Set your daily rate, weekly and monthly discounts, custom prices for busy dates, and blackout days
• Choose instant book or approve each request
• Manage many cars from one place; pause or unlist any time without losing history
• See gross, fees and net for every trip, and get paid out to your bank through Stripe
• Every entry in your earnings history is kept on an append-only ledger
SAFE BY DESIGN
• Renters and hosts verify their identity and driver’s license before they can book or list
• Minimum driver ages are checked against each host’s rules
• Report or block anyone; blocking hides their cars and reviews and stops contact
• Unlock the app with your fingerprint, face or device PIN
• Choose which notifications you get, and set quiet hours
One account can rent and host — switch between the two any time. Your account and its data can be deleted from Settings.
7Degreez is launching city by city, starting with San Diego. Renters must meet each host’s minimum age and hold a valid driver’s license.
