About this app

How live is your room? Clap once and find out.

RoomLab measures the acoustics of a room from a single hand clap: reverb (RT60) per octave band, flutter echo between parallel walls, tonal balance, and the background noise floor. It reads the room the way it actually behaves, band by band, not as one vague number, and tells you what to treat first.

What it measures:
- RT60 reverb per octave band, 500 Hz to 4 kHz
- Flutter echo between parallel surfaces
- Balance: how the mids and highs track
- Background noise floor

Map a whole room, not one spot: save a clap from several positions and RoomLab builds a picture of how the room changes as you move, with a rotatable 3D view.

Two ways to measure:
- One hand clap: instant, and honest about which bands a clap can carry.
- A speaker sweep: play the sweep through a speaker and the lower bands come along too.

Hear it, not just read it: play a dry beat through the response you just recorded, and the room you measured becomes something you can listen to instead of a number.

Everything runs on your device. The recording is discarded after measuring and sent nowhere. No account.

Free to check, with the decay curve behind every band (tap a bar to see how the number was read), Hear this room, and your first shareable PDF report. Pro (one time) adds unlimited reports, a treatment plan (how many m2 of absorption per material for your target, from your own measurement), the same beat played through the room as it would sound after that plan, side-by-side compares, your own logo on the report and CSV export.

What’s new

RoomLab 0.4.0: the app opens on the instrument, not a manual. The six octave bands sit ready before the clap, placement help folds away until you ask, and you can drag across the bands to walk their decay curves.
