The NVS Tsunami Evacuation mobile app is a product of NANOOS, the Northwest Association of Networked Ocean Observing Systems. The goals of NANOOS are to present existing and develop new and experimental prediction data and products to address the ocean observing and predicting needs of local stakeholders such as tribes, state/local governments, researchers, industry, educators, and the general public.

Trouble at first trying to create new account. Worked second time I tried. Interesting looking at the maps. Appears this app has had quite a few bugs in the past, but hopeful all of those have been worked out and this app continues to be functional and another learning tool for those here on the coast. Thanks!

Extremely confusing series of alerts after the Tongan volcano eruption. The thing keep dinging with new alerts all day without any difference in text or explanation of how one alert differed from the previous one. Late-in-the-day the tsunami alert was canceled but then the app started dinging with new alerts. Not sure if that means a new volcanic eruption in Tonga or just this app acting crazy.

App is completely useless. So slow to load I could feel life force leaving me; map/user-interface unreadable, and deadly dangerously outdated Cascadia Event info make this life-threatening. App must be completely experimental, in which case it should state that fact PROMINENTLY on page display. PLEASE PEOPLE! Do your own research, THOROUGHLY, do not depend on apps to educate you on deadly natural disasters and precautions you SHOULD/NEED TO know, particular to your specific locations.
