An ad popped up that asked me to download an update to watch the video, then opened my browser and tried to navigate to a dodgy looking site. Be very careful with this app.
I agree with other positive reviews. Great set of tools in an easy to use app. As a network admin this has helped me out in a lot of situations where I don't have a laptop with me and just want to get some basic network info.
Ads? I don't think so. Try to use this tool to work and you have that? Forget it. Worthless. There are other apps with the same stuff without. Too bad.
Pretty awesome and fully-featured app. Any networking The interface is intuitive and clean. I have a few complaints though. It'd be nice to have a button to clear the Local-Area Network list. Secondly, the Wi-Fi Scanner doesn't report HT40, VHT80, and VHT160 networks properly, only showing them as 20MHz-wide. It's something that many other apps have and is essential for choosing a proper channel. Also, it's rare that a device manufacturer is listed, generally only a handful of router manufacturers appear. I tried emailing the developer twice, using the contact email provided, about the Wi-Fi scanner troubles. I didn't receive a response either time. I'm not sure if it's just an un-monitored email address or what, but it makes me wary of purchasing the Pro version.
PingTools has to probably be one of the best out here for network administration on the fly. My one criticism is that it would be helpful to have an export feature on things such as the port scans, traceroutes etc.
In the previous version, whenever i open this apps it brings me directly to the ping page. Like it. But in the newer version it make the info page as its home page, I have to navigate into option - ping tools just to ping. I dont like this.
