Track your route and log your running milestones by chasing virtual pets in an interactive GPS game map directly on your watch. PetHunter turns your outdoor sessions into an engaging catch challenge. Built as a Wear OS running game with gamified elements, the app allows you to record your location, pace, and distance while racing against a diverse cast of moving targets. Choose your target distance and progress through speed tiers to challenge your personal pacing limits in a fun, interactive way.

How PetHunter Works:

• Progressive Level Gameplay: Choose from walking paces up to elite-tier velocities to help structure your speed targets. As you complete chases and unlock faster levels, the app tracks your milestone metrics to support your pacing progression over common distances ranging from a 100-metre sprint up to an Ultra Marathon.

• Hundreds of Unique Targets: Discover hundreds of virtual animals populating different geographic zones. Each creature runs at a different escape speed, giving you a new benchmark to play against on every route.

• Create and Release Locally: Design your own custom virtual pets with specific speed profiles and release them into the game map. You can deploy them in your current local neighbourhood or drop them into an area of your choice for other runners to discover.

• Share Your Catch Map: Connect with a social community of runners. Share your successful catch locations, view the exact GPS routes where friends caught rare animals, and showcase your collection on your public profile.

Wear OS Activity Tracking & Anti-Cheat Validation:

PetHunter requests access to your watch's physical Activity Recognition data to ensure gameplay integrity. This wearable step-detection data is processed live during a chase to verify actual running movement, improve wrist-based GPS tracking accuracy, and prevent cheating from motorized transport.

Data Tracking & Privacy:

PetHunter logs your active GPS position, live pace, running steps, and distance travelled exclusively to drive the real-time gameplay simulation and update your performance history dashboard on the PetHunter website.
