About this game

Find your next clever fit in Midnight Grid, an offline block puzzle with two ways to play. Place colourful shapes, fill complete rows and columns, and keep the grid open for your next move.

CLASSIC OR TIMED
Take your time in Classic mode, or test your quick thinking in Timed. Place a piece to reset the countdown. The pace gradually increases from eight seconds per turn to a three-second minimum. If time runs out, the game places the first fitting piece at a random valid position, keeping the challenge moving.

CHOOSE YOUR GRID
Play on any square board from 6x6 to 16x16. Start with the default 8x8 grid, go smaller for tighter decisions, or go bigger for more room to plan. Your last grid choice is remembered for the next game.

THREE DIFFICULTIES, 21 SHAPES
Choose Easy, Medium or Hard. Each difficulty changes the mix of pieces, with more fitting-piece help on Easy and more demanding shapes on Hard. Place lines, squares, rectangles, L, T, S and Z pieces. Clear several rows and columns together for a larger score bonus.

A LITTLE HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT
Undo the last successful placement. Once per game, remove one occupied block or clear a chosen horizontal or vertical line. Activate a tool, choose its target, or tap it again to cancel.

PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
Your active game saves locally, including the board, tray, score, Undo and remaining tools. Switch apps or come back later and resume the same game. Timed mode preserves the exact remaining seconds while you are away.

COMFORTABLE TOUCH CONTROLS
Large buttons, generous piece pickup areas and nearby placement assistance help make dragging and dropping feel natural. Optional sound effects and haptics let you choose the feedback you prefer.

OFFLINE AND UNINTERRUPTED
Midnight Grid has no ads, accounts, in-app purchases or subscriptions. Play without Wi-Fi or mobile data. There is no tracking or analytics, and your game progress stays on your device.

Set your own pace, plan a few moves ahead, and enjoy the satisfaction of making space.
