Ratings and reviews

The idea is great and in the long run will be cheaper than audible and no subscription needed. I haven't bought a book yet, but will do soon. My issue is with the UI. Things aren't simple to find, nobody is going to want to read an instruction manual on how to use the app, just do an app tutorial on the first use, like most apps do. A top notch recommendation and review system is also needed. A book I wanted wasn't on there, so I requested it, I came back later the same day and it was on there ✨

9/18/25 follow up: The app allowed me to download the book 8 months later. I am not sure what changed, but I happy to have access to my book. ##Original review from 1/24/25: No downloading books for offline listening??? I bought a book a while ago and now when I try to download it for offline listening I get an error saying I've downloaded this book too many times. I am guessing I've downloaded it once per phone I've owned since I bought it. So perhaps 3 times over the years... What a bummer 😕

The concept and the library are both very good. The only reason I'm dropping a star is the app interface. Once listening to a book the screen is cluttered and far too fiddly. The chapter skip 'buttons' etc are tiny and frustrating to use. A lot of space is taken up by the book cover - a waste of space; I'm listening not looking. Sort these issues out and it's a definite five star.
