About this app

The AION Shield is an innovative remote patient monitoring device that empowers healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes for all.
The AION TempShield application together with the AION Shield provides continuous remote monitoring of a patient’s body temperature. The AION Shield reads a patient’s temperature every 5 minutes and sends the readings to the AION TempShield application. In the AION TempShield app, you can review your current temperature, 24h temperature history, and add oral temperature manually. Your AION Shield can be worn for up to 90 days so that your clinicians can track your vitals constantly.

The AION Shield application does not collect, store or transmit your personal information. All your temperature readings are securely transmitted and stored according to the HIPAA rules.

Before using the application, please ensure that NFC, Bluetooth, and Internet connection are enabled on your device. Please do not switch the Bluetooth off while wearing your AION Shield.

Please note: Android made it mandatory for any app to have location permissions in order to work with Bluetooth devices. That is why the AION TempShield application requires location access on your device. Nor AION Shield application or AION server collect, save or transmit your location information.
