Screen Timer is a countdown you can read from across the room — and one that proves it will actually ring.

Set hours, minutes and seconds, hit start, and the digits fill the screen. No sign-in, no account, and ads never cover a running countdown. Now in 12 languages.

⏰ WHY DIDN'T IT RING?
One-star reviews of timer apps all say "it didn't go off". A silent alarm is seven different problems: exact-alarm permission, notifications off, a silenced alarm channel, Alarm volume at zero, Do Not Disturb, battery optimisation, and the lock-screen permission on Android 14+. A check screen tests all seven, tells you which one is wrong and opens that settings page. Then a real 10-second test alarm proves the whole chain.

🕐 FOUR DISPLAY STYLES
• Flip — mechanical split-flap digits
• Circle — a ring that empties as time runs out
• Analog — a classic sweeping hand
• Disk — a shrinking 60-minute disk kids understand at a glance
Digits turn amber, then red near the end. Choose when: by % left or by minutes left (amber at 5:00, red at 1:00 for talks), plus an optional green stage.

⏱ STOPWATCH WITH LAPS
Start, pause, lap and reset; fastest and slowest laps highlighted. It keeps counting if the app is closed, shows in the notification, and finished runs go into the session log.

🪟 MINI TIMER
Press Home while a timer runs and it shrinks into a small floating window over other apps, with Pause and +1 minute. Never during kid lock, never with ads.

🔕 QUIET ALERTS
Sound and vibration, vibrate only, silent flash (the screen flashes your clock colour, with optional torch blink) or flash and vibrate — for libraries, classrooms, meetings and hard-of-hearing users.

🔔 RINGS WHEN IT SHOULD
The alarm goes through the system alarm service, so it fires on time even if you leave the app, the phone sleeps, or Android closes the app.

• Named presets with repeat and count-up after zero; long-press a chip to edit
• Pomodoro (Pro) and interval chains (Pro) with named, coloured phases

Full-screen flip or analog clock with date and battery, night dimming and burn-in protection; can open when you plug in the charger.

📋 SESSION LOG, GOALS AND BACKUP
Every finished and stopped session, today's and the week's totals, a daily goal, a month view with your best day. Export one backup file (presets, chains, to-dos, settings, log) and restore it on any phone — free. Pro adds CSV export.

⭐ FREE WITH ADS, PRO WITHOUT
The free version shows a small banner while you set a timer and, at most every few minutes, a full-screen ad after you tap Reset. Never while the clock counts down or is paused, with touch lock on, or when the alarm rings. Ads come from Google AdMob and Unity Ads, which may use your advertising ID; where the law requires it you are asked for consent first (Settings › Pro & ads).
Screen Timer Pro is a Google Play subscription (monthly, 3 months, or yearly with a 3-day free trial). It removes all ads and unlocks Pomodoro, interval chains, your own alarm sound, per-preset colours, alerts and warning stages, and more presets. A short video unlocks Pro features for 30 minutes.

🔒 PRIVACY
Your timers and photos stay on your phone; there is no account. The countdown works offline; ads, Pro and anonymous usage stats use the internet, and stats can be switched off.
