Volume Button puts a volume button on screen, so you can turn the sound up or down with one tap instead of the side keys. It is a simple volume control that floats over any app: two small keys, + and −, that you can drag anywhere and forget about until you need them.

It is made for phones with a broken volume button, a sticky key or a case that makes the side keys hard to press. The app does not repair hardware; it replaces a broken key with on-screen buttons that change the same volume levels. Think of it as a volume key fix that needs no tools. It also works as an assistive volume control for anyone who finds small side keys awkward.

How it works
• Switch the buttons on, allow display over other apps, and a floating volume bar appears at the edge of the screen.
• Tap + or − to change media volume, just like the side keys.
• Drag the bar anywhere. It remembers its spot, even when you rotate the screen.
• The window is exactly the size of the buttons, so the rest of the screen stays usable.
• Choose the button size, opacity, a vertical or horizontal layout, and an optional third button that mutes media.

All your sound levels in one place
• Hold either button to open a panel with a volume slider for each sound.
• Media and ring sliders, a mute switch for media, and ringer mode (Sound, Vibrate or Silent) are free.
• Alarm, call and notification sliders are part of Premium.
• The same volume slider panel is in the app too.

Stays out of your way
• The floating volume keys step aside while the keyboard is open, so they never cover what you type.
• They also hide during full-screen videos and games, then come back on their own. Both can be switched off in Settings.

Free, with no time limit:
• The floating bar with + and −, dragging, size, opacity, layout and the mute button.
• Media and ring sliders, mute, and ringer mode.
• Auto-hide, the notification controls, the Quick Settings tile and the widget.

Premium adds:
• No ads anywhere in the app.
• Alarm, call and notification sliders, for all five sound levels.
• Six extra colors, including a see-through Glass style, for the buttons and the home-screen widget.

Premium is available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be managed or cancelled anytime in Google Play.

Permissions and privacy
• Display over other apps: needed to draw the floating volume keys over other apps.
• Notifications (Android 13 and later): used for the controls notification. The buttons still work if you say no.
• Do Not Disturb access: requested only if you pick Silent, because Android treats Silent as a Do Not Disturb change. Sound and Vibrate never need it.
• Run at startup: brings the buttons back after a restart. You can turn this off.
• Vibration: a short tap feel when you press a button. You can turn this off.
• Internet: used for ads, Google Play purchases, and anonymous crash reports and usage statistics.
• No accessibility service, no account, and the app never reads what is on your screen.

Good to know
• If you were searching for a volume key fix, this app works around the problem rather than repairing it: you get a working volume button on screen until your broken volume button is repaired.
• As an assistive volume tool it uses the same levels as the side keys; your speaker is unchanged.
• Android hides floating buttons on some system screens, such as permission prompts, so the keys cannot appear there.
