Ping Alive – Your Daily Sign of Life

Living alone? Ping Alive is a simple, reliable check-in app that connects you privately with the people who care about you. Just open the app once a day – that’s all it takes. If you don't check in, your contacts are automatically notified so someone can look after you.

How it works
Choose a time and get reminded once a day to send your sign of life. Open the app, confirm – done. If you miss your check-in, the app waits for a grace period and then reliably alerts your emergency contacts via push notification.

Server-side safety: Works even offline!
A crucial difference: The alerting logic runs entirely on our secure servers (backend). This means for your safety: Even if your smartphone is turned off, the battery dies, it gets destroyed, or you are in a remote area with absolutely no internet connection – as soon as your check-in window expires, our server triggers the alarm. Both you and your contacts install the app once. This ensures that the alert arrives as an unmissable push notification instead of getting lost in a spam folder. The system is highly optimized for low bandwidth.

Simple pricing, no tricks
Free download including a 14-day trial period. Afterwards, a subscription of approx. €2/month is required for active senders (cancel anytime, no minimum term). Your emergency contacts do not need a subscription. The app is permanently free for everyone receiving notifications.

Inactive accounts (unused for more than a month) are automatically deleted to keep the system clean.

1.0.10 is our first production release. If you previously installed a test version of Ping Alive, please uninstall it first. Then reinstall the app from the Play Store. We made several internal changes, and a clean installation ensures everything works correctly. After reinstalling, you can simply log in again with your user account.
