About this app

📁 Clean, edit and sign PDFs—with more control over what you share.

DOCSCRUB by Rare Frequency Works brings PDF metadata cleanup, OCR text scanning, existing text editing and document signing into one focused app.

For when “final_final.pdf” needs one more change.

REVIEW BEFORE YOU SHARE

Inspect PDF metadata, including author names, titles, creation dates and software information. Review supported document structures that may need attention before sharing.

CLEAN PDF METADATA

Remove supported metadata fields and save a cleaned copy. Premium adds batch metadata cleanup and flattened privacy copies for supported PDFs.

EXTRACT TEXT WITH OCR

Turn scanned PDFs and images into usable text. Copy recognized text, download a TXT file, and inspect detected words and confidence scores. Premium supports multi-page OCR.

EDIT EXISTING PDF TEXT

Correct wording, update details and edit sections of existing PDF text. Review your changes in the document preview, then save an updated copy.

SIGN DOCUMENTS 🖊️

Draw, type or upload your signature. Add a date or time, choose your ink color, and move, resize or rotate your signature to fit the page.

CERTIFICATE SIGNING AND VERIFICATION

Premium supports certificate signing with your own compatible certificate and matching private key.

Check supported certificate signatures for document changes with free integrity verification. Verification checks document integrity; it does not establish signer identity or certificate trust.

LOCAL DOCUMENT PROCESSING

Core PDF and OCR tools process your documents locally on your device, giving you control over the files you work with.
