Wow! This app does it all while maintaining a small footprint. The main feature I needed was a way to reduce the volume of the app relative to other audio. I use a metronome to maintain a specific pace while walking and rucking, so I want the beat to play in the background while I listen to podcasts. This app allows you to apply a decibel loss (or gain) relative to system audio, which is perfect. I very rarely write reviews, but this app is awesome. Thanks!

It gets the job done almost loud enough to hear over a drum kit. Simple and easy to operate. Update: 10 July 2026 - when I made the comment regarding the volume I was comparing this to my standalone, Dr Beat metronome. it is a very loud unit that can be. Heard over a drum kit and certainly in any rehearsal setting with multiple musicians. the ability to increase the output volume via the settings page is nice. But this phone simply cannot handle that large of a volume boost.

This metronome app is simply great! I used it for relaxation and hypnosis. The controls are very clear and easy to use, even with no musical knowledge. There is even a graphical metronome option you can turn on for a visual reference which is nice. If you're looking for a metronome app you can get up and running in seconds with easy to use adjustments for personalization this is it!
