I have been waiting weeks for this app to get updated. Previous version was self-evidently dreadful. I have just installed latest version with some excitement. Sadly, I can't even log into the app. I just get the spinning wheel. I know that my details are correct because when I deliberately get password wrong, the app tells me that my derails are incorrect. I find it utterly inconceivable that, even after all the poor press regarding the previous app, I can't even get the app open. I am really disappointed. I have uninstalled previous version which would at least send a series of instructions to the connect device (followed by app crash). Now I don't even have that facility. I trust that this problem will be addressed immediately. I wanred to brew this weekend. So sad that a great piece of kit has been so undermined by this software. Okay, third try today, managed to login successfully. App looks cleaner and seems to work. Will test it this weekend.
Ran on Samsung S7 and caused big problems. When mash temperature hit it started running the pump immediately with no warning to add grain. When mash completed and mash out temperature was hit, it asked me to add the grain! The app notifications were always wrong for the stage I was on.
Loads better than first terrible app. Looks like an android app now, only one crash when I went out of range and it reconnected fine. Useful calculators.
I thought the problems were ironed out? Logged on to my account, just get spinning busy icon to sync my recipes. Another anomaly was the application said i was connected, yet the controller is switched off!
First of all, it appears much better than its GF Android predecessor. Imports recipes without crashing! Woo hoo! Would however benefit from an "import" facility within the app, rather than the external "open with" import method. It's just not intuitive to old farts like me.
The previous app was terrible but at least it let me connect my phone. The new app can't find the control box at all, i can see it in Bluetooth settings but the app just does nothing.
