Cant login, details are correct as I can login to the website on a browser but the app just shows the progress indicator. Never logs me in. Surely this is something you should find during testing before releasing the app? Especially when the old app has caused frustration for most and was released with limited functionality.
I thought the problems were ironed out? Logged on to my account, just get spinning busy icon to sync my recipes. Another anomaly was the application said i was connected, yet the controller is switched off! Update: This just gets even better. Now ALL my own imported recipes have disappeared.
The app has failed yet again. Spinning wheels. My edited quick profiles are inaccessible. Hard to believe that this software issue can't be solved. Totally undermines the successful, well deigned hardware. Are grainfather aware of the damage that this is doing to the confidence that potential customers may have? Get it sorted please. I've paid lots of money.
Update. This app still doesn't work. Automation through the app was one of the reasons for me to buy the Grainfather. Please skip all the registration and make it optional. I want to be able to use the app for brewing at least. Luckily I still got the old one. Not so fancy but at least it works. So please. Can you fix the app? Or at least make the old one available again so your customers at least can brew. Brewday today. Tried the app on two devices. None were able to connect to the Grainfather... Luckily I still have the old app. Which have it's flaws, but at least it is usable. Expected more at this pricepoint...
First of all, it appears much better than its GF Android predecessor. Imports recipes without crashing! Woo hoo! Would however benefit from an "import" facility within the app, rather than the external "open with" import method. It's just not intuitive to old farts like me.
I have to register and login to use this? Why? What a pain - I expect to be able to use my equipment without having to have Internet access. Even if I go into the trouble of registering and then try to log in, all I get is extremely unhelpful error messages, such as "Login error. Something is wrong. OK" The technology has so much potential, but it is let down by poor software design and implementation. Wake up Grainfather - publish the protocol for the connect controller and let others implement decent solutions!
