If you have comprehensive; off-road; third party, fire & theft; motorcycle; and third party only cover from 1st for Women, you automatically get Guardian Angel on Call to help keep you safe on the road. Depending on your cover, this service includes:

CRASH DETECTION: An in-app mobile crash detector picks up if you’re in a severe accident.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Emergency medical assistance sent to your exact location, whether you contact us or not.

TOWING SERVICE: An authorised tow-truck sent to your exact location. The ability to view driver details and track their progress in app.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: A roadside assistance provider that you can track to your exact location if your vehicle is out of fuel, has a flat battery, or a flat tyre.

REQUEST A LIFT: If your vehicle is towed, you can request a lift to where you need to go.

STAND-BY ME SERVICE: If you’re feeling unsafe, a Guardian Angel will be sent to wait with you until help arrives.

AUTOMATIC CLAIMS NOTIFICATION: Our claims team will be notified immediately of your accident. Customers with comprehensive and off-road vehicle cover benefit from all the services above and can share them with their regular drivers and up to five loved ones.

The questions were fairly easy to answer except for the questions relating to the vehicle interior and exterior non-standard accessories. As a female, generally, we do not understand vehicle lingo/jargon. I had to ask two males for assistance. I think it would be a good idea to have a dictionary of some sort, explaining what is meant by each non-accessory term. The pictures were fairly easy to take. The barcode situation took a few attempts before getting it right. Overall, good experience.

The app is buggy and submitting a claim is an absolute process. The app keeps getting stuck in these weird states where it says there's missing info, but then there's nothing outstanding and you can't get rid of the blocking message. So, the claim just gets stuck in limbo. It overrides my default keyboard, so typing is a chore. It allows you to send documents in the chat that does not go through to the advisor. Overall horrible when you actually have to use it for a claim. The advisors are also very slow to respond. My advisor does not read messages properly and replies with unhelpful one liners that does not address my issues. Utterly frustrating. So, just save yourself the hassle and call to submit the claim.

The camera in the app is very poor. It takes unclear photos. When I do manage to get a clear photo, the app kicks me out and I have to restart. I've tried more than 10 times to complete my vehicle inspection but without success. When I called the customer care, they said I have to capture it in the app, I cannot send it to them. And now my insurance is unverified. This is an extremely frustrating process

Hello Simone, the app uses the phone camera to take the pictures as it does not have a camera of its own. If you have difficulties completing the inspection via the app, alternatively you can take the vehicle to your nearest Glasfit for inspection.
