About this app

The primary function ActivityLog offers, amongst others, relates to the South African Schools Act 84 of 1996 which allows for Teachers to receive remuneration, financial benefit or benefit in kind for additional work performed for example work outside an Educators’ job description. Another example would be for travel and expenses relating to official school activities such as attending a sporting or cultural event where the school participates in. However, there are a number of caveats in the Act which ActivityLog helps you navigate.

ActivityLog allows Teachers to easily capture a variety of activities such as Events, Extra Murals and Responsibilities. It does this through secure, roles-based access.

Specific Decision-makers are notified of certain activities captured and they have the ability to view, comment on and make a decision on those activities.

Dashboards provides various metrics around the activities, providing views specific to the User. This allows everyone to have a view into what they been involved in throughout the year.

School Boards and SGBs no longer need to be concerned about contravening any of the Section 38A rules as data is easily accessible, auditable and in the format required by the Department of Education.
