HostGuard helps South African short-term rental owners, managers, and operators check a genuine booking enquiry before accepting it.

Use details supplied by the guest or booking platform to look for matching stay reports from other approved HostGuard members.

Report details appear only when at least two identifiers match.

With HostGuard you can:
• Check a guest using a name plus details such as a phone number, email address, identity number, or platform username.
• Review matched positive and negative stay reports.
• Add your venues without exposing their exact addresses to other members.
• Receive anonymous alerts about relevant activity near your venues.
• Submit factual stay reports and supporting evidence after a completed stay.

HostGuard is not a public guest directory. Members cannot browse guest identities, and the venue that submitted a stay report is not shown to other members.

Membership applications are reviewed before guest checks, stay reports, and local alerts are unlocked. An internet connection and an approved HostGuard account are required.

HostGuard provides additional context for a booking decision. It does not confirm a person’s identity, predict future conduct, or replace your own verification and judgement.
