A paragraph appears, written the way an encyclopedia would write it. Almost every word is redacted, blacked out behind a solid bar. Under the ink is a subject - a city, an invention, a dish, an animal, a game - and your job is to name it.

Tap a black box and that word comes back. You get seven. Spend them well: one verb in the right place can give the whole thing away, and a wasted reveal leaves you staring at the same wall of ink.

Type your answer into the letter tiles along the bottom. They are always visible, so you always know how many letters you are looking for. Guess as often as you like. Wrong guesses cost nothing.

One puzzle a day. The same one for everybody.

HOW A ROUND GOES
- Read what is left of the paragraph. The words still showing are your only clue.
- Tap a black box to uncover that word. Seven reveals per puzzle.
- Every two reveals earn a hint, up to two. A hint uncovers one letter of the answer, and you pick which one.
- Type into the tiles whenever you want. The puzzle ends the moment they are right.
- Give up and the whole text opens. The streak resets, but you still get to read it.
- At the end: your reveals, hints, guesses and time, your streak, and your lifetime numbers.
- Share a result line with no spoilers in it.

PART WORD GAME, PART TRIVIA
Solving is half deduction and half general knowledge. The letter tiles make it a word game, because you are spelling an answer of a known length. The paragraph makes it trivia, because the quickest way through is to recognise a subject from three surviving nouns. Ten categories rotate: Geography, History, Science, Nature, Technology, Arts, Culture, Food, Sports and Games. Baklava one day, the Rosetta Stone the next, Tetris after that.

Every paragraph is written for Peeled and read by a person before it ships. Nothing is scraped and no text is copied from any encyclopedia.

PAST PUZZLES
Missed a day? The last seven days stay open in the Past puzzles calendar. Older days are locked for now; one payment will open the whole archive in a later update, once and for good. There is no subscription, and there is nothing to buy inside this version.

PLAYS OFFLINE, COLLECTS NOTHING
Every puzzle ships inside the app, so the daily puzzle works on a plane, underground, and anywhere with no signal. There are no ads in Peeled and there never will be. There is no account to make and no profile to fill in. Your progress, your streak and your statistics are kept on your phone and nowhere else. There is no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracker of any kind in the app, and it sends nothing anywhere.
