WA Backup is your all-in-one WhatsApp toolkit: private encrypted chat backups, a one-tap status saver, and an HD profile picture maker.

ENCRYPTED CHAT & MEDIA BACKUP
Keep a private, encrypted copy of your WhatsApp chats and media in the cloud — protected so strongly that even we cannot read it.

Zero-knowledge by design: your backups are locked with the 64-digit encryption key that WhatsApp shows you on your own phone. That key is stored only on your device, in Android's hardware-backed secure storage. It is never uploaded, never shared, and never visible to us. Every media file is additionally encrypted on your phone with AES-256 before it leaves the device — the server only ever stores ciphertext.

• Back up your chat database and media to secure cloud storage in one tap
• Schedule automatic daily backups at the exact time you choose
• Choose what to include: all media, only recent media (24 hours to 1 year), or chats only
• Back up only on Wi-Fi, or only while charging — your rules
• Browse your backed-up chats in a clean built-in viewer: messages, photos, videos, voice notes, and documents
• Play voice notes and videos, open PDFs and documents directly from a backup
• Save any backed-up photo, video, or file to your Downloads folder

STATUS SAVER
See a status you like? Save it before it disappears. Browse recent WhatsApp statuses from contacts and save any photo or video straight to your gallery in one tap — no screenshots, no quality loss.

HD PROFILE PICTURE MAKER
Turn any photo into a crisp, properly framed WhatsApp profile picture, saved in high resolution and ready to set.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
• No ads
• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No selling or sharing of your data
• Passwords stored only as salted hashes
• Encrypted transfer (TLS) end to end
• Status Saver and HD Profile Maker work entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded

IMPORTANT — KEEP YOUR BACKUP KEY SAFE
Because of the zero-knowledge design, your 64-digit key is the only thing that can unlock your chat backups. If you lose it, nobody — including us — can recover your data. Write it down or store it in a password manager before you start.

PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED
• All files access: required to read WhatsApp's local backup and status folders (Android/media/com.whatsapp) so they can be backed up or saved, and to save files you download. Nothing else is scanned or uploaded.
• Contacts (optional): only to show saved names next to chats in the viewer. Contacts never leave your phone.
• Notifications and alarms: to show backup progress and run your scheduled backup on time.
