Up Lifting is for you.

This is the strength training app I wanted but couldn't find, so I built it.

It's a focused, no-nonsense workout tracker for people who want to lift. A smart training partner that stays out of your way while you train, then shows you exactly where the weight should go next. Whether you're powerlifting, bodybuilding, or three weeks into your first program, Up Lifting keeps your attention where it belongs: on the lift.

Built natively for Android with Material 3 Expressive. Not a web page in a wrapper.

WHY UP LIFTING?

Most workout apps try to do everything, then let you down on the thing that actually matters: recording your training. I wanted notes. I wanted to see my previous lifts without digging through menus. I wanted it to be fast while I'm under the bar.

Up Lifting makes it easy to log everything you need, and easy to see where you were last time. It keeps you paying attention to your training, and nudges you when it counts.

CORE FEATURES — ALL FREE

Effortless logging: a clean, fast keypad for sets, reps, weight and RPE, with no friction. Apply to All: one tap fills your target weight and reps across every set in an exercise. Last time, right there: your previous weights, reps and RPE sit above the set you're filling in. Notes on every set: seat positions, how it felt, what to change next week. Smart rest timers: floating, compact, or the expressive Wiggly timer — with per-exercise overrides, because a heavy squat and a lateral raise shouldn't share a rest window. Live Notifications: your rest timer keeps counting on the lock screen. Home screen widgets: next workout, week streak and recent PBs at a glance. Make it yours: light and dark themes, custom accent and muscle-group colours, card styles, and your own photo behind it all. Superset support: group exercises and track complex sessions without fighting the interface. Progress charts: scrub through volume, estimated 1RM and rep maxes over weeks, instead of guessing between sets. Routine builder: plan your split ahead of time, or swap an exercise mid-session without wrecking the template. On-the-fly workouts: not following a routine today? Pick exercises as you train. Exercise library: searchable movements with muscle tags and real descriptions, plus your own custom exercises for that one odd machine your gym has. Workout sharing: snap a photo after a session and share a card with your exercises and stats, straight to r/UpLiftingApp or anywhere else. Health Connect: completed workouts sync across to Health Connect. Data importer: bring your history over from Strong, or paste a plain-text program and let the AI importer build the routine for you.

GO PRO — BUT ONLY FOR THE EXTRAS

No core functionality is locked behind a paywall. The whole app is free to use for as long as you want.

Pro Edition adds the bonus features I thought were fun:

Increment Up: smart performance analysis that tells you when it's time to add weight to the bar. Change It Up: plateau detection and reminders to rotate training blocks. Are You Still There?: the anti-distraction tool for focused lifting. Intelligent Reminders: dynamic notifications that know if you've already trained today. Achievements: badges for consistency, volume milestones and personal records. Journey: a timeline of every PR and milestone across your whole lifting career.

PRIVACY FIRST. ALWAYS.

Your training data is yours. Up Lifting stores everything securely on your device and backs up automatically to Google Drive. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Just lifting.
