Animalcules turns your home screen into a living drop under the microscope.

Every organism is drawn and animated in real time, so the slide is never the same twice- cells drift, divide, hunt and school behind your apps, like a microscope you forgot to turn off.

NINE MICROSCOPE WORLDS
• Pond- a teeming drop of pond water: amoebae, ciliates, rotifers, algae
• Bloodstream_ red cells tumbling past white cells and platelets
• Ganga- sacred-river water alive with bacteriophages
• Abyss- bioluminescent specks drifting in the deep (Pro)
• SEM- the monochrome world of a scanning electron microscope (Pro)
• Cyclosis- cytoplasm streaming inside a living plant cell (Pro)
• Mitosis- a field of cells caught mid-division (Pro)
• Radiolaria- glass-shelled plankton like living jewellery (Pro)
• Diatoms- golden, geometric algae under bright- or dark-field (Pro)

TOUCH THE SLIDE
Drag to stir the water. Tap to poke the organisms and watch them scatter and regroup. Tilt your phone and the scene drifts with a gentle parallax.

A REAL MICROSCOPE’S CONTROLS
Customise every scene like an instrument: density, liveliness, magnification and condenser illumination on knurled dials; bright-field or dark-field lighting; which species appear; an optional microscope vignette; and a warm light or dark “eyepiece” theme.

QUIETLY REACTIVE (optional)
If you like, let one on-device signal gently change the mood: calmer on low battery, busier at midday, livelier in bright light. Everything is sensed on your phone and nothing ever leaves it.

KIND TO YOUR BATTERY
A power-saver mode animates for a few seconds after each unlock, then holds a still frame until you wake it. Rendering is pure, lightweight software- no game
engine, no ads, no tracking.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Animalcules collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no network calls of its own. Your settings stay on your device.

ANIMALCULES PRO
Three scenes are free forever. A single one-time purchase (no subscription) unlocks all nine and every future scene.

“Animalcules” was Antonie van Leeuwenhoek’s word for the little living creatures he was the first to see through a microscope, in the 1670s.
