DayTally counts the days you spend in each country — precisely, and entirely on your device.

If your tax residency depends on day counts, guessing is expensive. DayTally keeps the record you would otherwise have to reconstruct from boarding passes and hotel bills, and shows at any moment how close you are to a limit.

WHAT IT DOES
• Counts days per country to the day, with the rule you choose: presence (arrival and departure day both count) or midnight
• Knows the period a country measures over: calendar year, rolling 12 months, or a sliding X-in-Y window
• Computes the US Substantial Presence Test with its exact weighting, including the 31-day gate
• Warns you before you cross a limit — not after
• Researched day limits for many countries, with the source noted, ready to apply in one tap
• Track visas with their remaining time, minimum-days rules and entry deadlines

RECORD WITHOUT TYPING
• Scan a boarding pass — photo, image file or PDF. The barcode is read on your device; airports, flight number and date fill themselves in
• Optional automatic country detection by coarse location, resolved on the device against bundled map data
• Import from CSV or Google Timeline, reviewed row by row before anything counts

WHAT YOU GET OUT
• A clean PDF report for your tax advisor, with your country entries, flights and numbered appendices
• CSV exports for countries, days, trips and accommodations
• A tax-advisor package: one ZIP with the report, all tables and every appendix under its number, plus an index

SEE YOUR YEAR
• Statistics with a travel map, world coverage, a year carpet, calendar heatmap, monthly profile, records and a home-and-away split
• Every card shares as an image
• A world map with your flight paths and a home-screen widget

PRIVACY IS NOT A SETTING HERE
DayTally has no internet permission. Not "we promise not to send anything" — the app is technically incapable of it. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your data lives in the app's private storage and goes nowhere else.

Backups are files you create yourself, encrypted with AES-256-GCM and your own passphrase. Put them in your own cloud folder if you like — encrypted, they are only useful to you. There is no recovery without the passphrase, and we hold no key.

FREE AND PRO
Unlimited tracking, calendar, timeline, one country rule with warnings, the audit report, CSV export and import, manual backup and restore, and the app lock are free forever — and so is everything you have already recorded.

DayTally Pro (monthly, yearly or one-time lifetime, with a free trial) unlocks PDF reports incl. the tax-advisor package, rules for multiple countries, the full statistics with every insight, the travel-year story and year comparison, batch scanning, new attachments, Timeline import, automatic backups and the widget.

12 languages. No account. No network. Just your days.

DayTally is a record-keeping tool, not tax advice. Rules change and depend on your circumstances; in case of doubt, ask a professional.
