Notes and to-do lists with no ads, no account and 0 trackers — a number an independent report checked, not a promise.

Plume is a colorful notepad for shopping lists, to-dos, quick ideas, meeting notes and journal fragments. Free and stays free: no limit, no watermark, no sign-in. Plume Pro is one purchase, once. No subscription.

The line is simple: the free tier is the whole notes app. Pro adds appearance and convenience extras, never access to your notes.

🔍 CHECK IT INSTEAD OF TRUSTING IT
εxodus Privacy is an independent project that analyses apps published on Google Play and lists the tracking libraries it finds. Its report for app.plume.notes lists 0 trackers.

Play vouches for the other half: this listing carries no "Contains ads" label.

🛡️ WHAT IS NOT IN THE PERMISSION LIST
No camera. No storage. No location. No contacts. No accounts. Photos come through the Android picker and camera intent — Plume never needs your gallery, as the permission list below shows.
The permissions Plume asks for are visible features you can refuse: microphone for voice notes, notifications and alarms for reminders. Refuse any; everything else works.

🏠 NO ACCOUNT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SERVER
No Plume sign-up — there is no Plume server. Nothing uploaded or synced. Works offline — plane, tunnel, data off — under 6 MB.

🎨 A COLORFUL BOARD
Eight pastel colors, color and date filters, search across notes and #tags, pins, sorting, and folders keep your notes organized.
Free in Settings: Compact cards show a smaller list with plain-text previews.

⚡ Free in Settings: Jot mode opens Plume straight into a blank note for quick capture.

✅ TO-DO LISTS THAT BEHAVE
Checklists show progress. Tick tasks on default cards or open the note in Compact cards mode. Completed tasks stay visible with a strikethrough.

📝 MORE THAN TEXT, IN PORTABLE MARKDOWN
Attach photos, drawings and voice recordings to any note, then crop, rotate, mark up or mosaic an image and play recordings in place. Every note is stored as portable Markdown: write in a clean visual editor with headings, lists, quotes, highlights, code blocks and dividers, or flip to source mode and edit the raw Markdown. Inline and block LaTeX renders as crisp math.

📦 YOUR NOTES ARE FILES YOU KEEP
One complete .plumebackup file holds your notes, checklists, images, drawings, recordings, tags, colors and settings, with optional password protection. Restore validates the file before you choose Replace or Merge. Password-protected backup and every restore path are free, including restoring a backup that the paid version created.

ALSO FREE
Reminders (one-time/repeating, optional full-screen alert). Full-screen reading, multi-select, PIN lock, widgets, Archive, Trash, Undo, On This Day, text/image/Markdown sharing, Light/Dark themes, 21 languages.

💎 PLUME PRO, PAID ONCE
Premium themes, a custom accent color, four extra note colors, polished PDF export, offline HTML export, and a browsable offline notes site with all your attachments. Automatic encrypted backups to a folder you choose, Daily or Weekly. One payment, no renewal.

WHAT PLUME DOES NOT DO
No cloud sync between devices — the direct cost of having no account. Changing phones means exporting one backup file and importing it. No collaboration or shared notes. Plume is not open source, which is the fair objection to any privacy claim; the εxodus report above is an independent check, not a substitute for auditable code. Reminder delivery depends on your phone's alarm, notification and battery settings.

If Plume earns a place on your home screen, a rating helps more people find it. Thank you. 🪶
