Connect your accounts

After you’ve created a profile and chosen your financial goals (think budgeting, growing your savings, and increasing your credit score), it’s time to connect your accounts. While just adding your checking account can provide insights into your net worth and spending habits, also adding credit cards can shed light on recurring charges and fees you might not even be aware of. Once you’ve supplied the required info, Rocket Money will verify it with your bank.
Tip
While most major banks will verify your account almost instantly, some smaller institutions or credit unions may need more time.

See where your money’s going

At the bottom of your screen you’ll see an icon labeled “Recurring.” Tap it to see a calendar with upcoming charges scheduled for the next seven days, as well as a list of charges further in the future. Scroll down to see recurring charges from the last seven days or tap “All” to view a list of current subscriptions separated into categories like utilities and streaming services.
Tip
If you see a charge in the wrong category, tap the three dots to edit and correct the transaction’s details.

Cancel unwanted subscriptions

Finding some surprises or just realizing you don’t really need that many streaming channels? Easily cancel a subscription by tapping the three dots next to the charge. You’ll see how much you’ll save per year by canceling the subscription, which you can do by selecting “Cancel for me.” Enter that subscription’s login information and click cancel. Rocket Money will end your subscription, even communicating by email, phone call, or snail mail on your behalf. It’s that simple.
Tip
Feel like handling it yourself? Tap the phone or website icon to contact the subscription company on your own. Rocket Money even provides instructions tailored to that subscription.
Use Rocket Money to gain a more informed understanding of your finances in minutes. As you make a regular habit of cleaning up unwanted charges and reviewing your spending, you’ll be better able to plan and save toward your goals.
