How to connect your Android devices

Got more than one Android device? Help them work better together by connecting them using these easy steps.

To pair your Samsung phone with your watch, first make sure both devices are connected to Bluetooth by opening the settings on each, tapping “Connections,” then toggling on Bluetooth. Next, open the Galaxy Wearable app (or Google Pixel Watch app if you have a Pixel watch) on your phone, tap “Connect your watch” (making sure your watch is in close range), then tap your watch name once it appears. You’ll then be prompted to verify a code on both devices, which you can do by following the instructions on screen. Wait for the software to finish installing, then you’re all set.

If you want to change which phone is connected to your watch, you’ll need to go to your watch settings and tap “General,” followed by “Transfer watch to new phone.” You’ll then receive a pop-up on your phone with instructions.

Now that your watch is linked to your phone, you can also connect it to your earbuds to start taking calls, listening to music, and more, straight from your wrist. Make sure they’re near each other and that your watch’s Bluetooth is on, then turn on your earbuds’ pairing mode to start scanning for devices. Once you see your earbuds’ name under “Available devices” in your watch’s Bluetooth settings, tap it, then tap the checkmark to confirm the pairing. Want to pair your earbuds with a different device? You can follow the same steps on your phone, tablet, or foldable.

Never miss a call or text message, even if you’re on your tablet or just have your watch. Open your Samsung phone settings, tap Connected devices, then toggle on “Call & text on other devices.” Next, do the same thing on your tablet or watch, then follow the instructions on screen once your devices are connected.
