On March 2nd, 1998, ten-year-old Natascha Kampusch was kidnapped, and found herself locked in a house that would be her home for the next eight years. She was starved, beaten, treated as a slave, and forced to work for her deranged captor. But she never forgot who she was, and she never gave up hope of returning to the world. This is her story.

Natascha Kampusch was born on February 17th, 1988, in Vienna. At the age of ten, she became victim to what proved to be one of the longest abductions in recent history. In 2006 she gained her freedom, and since then has been trying to live a normal life. Natascha graduated from college in 2010.

Jennifer Scapetis-Tycer grew up in Australia and trained and worked in London before coming to live in the U.S. Jennifer has worked in theater, TV, and radio drama. A professional voice and dialect coach, she is currently an assistant professor in the University of Connecticut's Department of Dramatic Arts.
