Rebecca grew up in Bolton, and studied fashion due to a love of fashion illustration. After graduating, she worked at an assortment of jobs, including being an classroom assistant in a primary school. Once her own children had started school, Rebecca began an MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and had her first picture books commissioned at the end of the course. Rebecca's work is inspired by her own childhood and her children's lives. She is the 2012 winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. She lives in Cambridge.

Eloise Mignon has worked as an actor across theatre, television and film in both Australia and France. She is best known for her roles in Legacy of the Silver Shadow, Silversun and Neighbours. Eloise has also narrated several audiobooks, including Mary Grant Bruce's A Little Bush Maid, A Moon Girl Stole My Friend by Rebecca Patterson and many titles in Sally Rippin's Billie B Brown series.
