About this audiobook

A novel of terrible first impressions, hilarious second chances, and the joy in finding your perfect match from "a true talent" (Emily Henry, #1 New York Times bestselling author).

Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life is seriously flatlining. Her divorce is just about finalized, her brother’s running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants? Oh, that’s probably going to the new man-doctor who’s already registering eighty-friggin’-seven on Briana’s “pain in my ass” scale. But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr. Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter.

And it’s a really good letter. Like the kind that proves that Jacob isn’t actually Satan. Worse, he might be this fantastically funny and subversively likeable guy who’s terrible at first impressions. Because suddenly he and Bri are exchanging letters, sharing lunch dates in her “sob closet,” and discussing the merits of freakishly tiny horses. But when Jacob decides to give Briana the best gift imaginable—a kidney for her brother—she wonders just how she can resist this quietly sexy new doctor . . . especially when he calls in a favor she can’t refuse.

“Abby Jimenez’s words…sprinkle humor and warmth all over my life.” –Ali Hazelwood, New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis

***Spoiler*** I listened to the audiobook version of "Part of this World" by Abby Jimenez, narrator by Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber. Then I started "Yours Truly" by Abby Jimenez, narrator by Kyla Garcia, Zachary Webber. First let me start by listing things I liked about this book. The way Dr. Briana and Dr. Jacob relationship started and developed was cute. I loved Dr. Jacob being an organ donor and willing to give up his organ while alive. Most people are cool giving up their organs when they die but not while they are alive. More people need to be organ donors. I loved how they went to Wakan and the house trapped them in Jacob's bedroom. I remember from "Part of this World" Alexis and Daniel saying the town was hunted. I loved their wedding. They did it the way they wanted it to be and I believe all weddings should be like this. I loved Dr. Jacob taking Dr. Briana's last name. So cute and he is a man of his word. Now what I didn't like. I hated how Dr. Briana and Dr. Jacob never communicated their feelings with each other. It started getting old really fast. They wasted so much time by not communicating. I'm glad everything worked out in the end but I was so annoyed they kept believing things about each other or interpreting signs that were so wrong. When Dr. Briana read Dr. Jacob's diary and realized Dr. Jacob loved her the entire time. I rolled my eyes and said finally. I'm glad Dr. Jacob gave her his diary to read. This was the only way she would believe his feelings. I'm so glad Dr. Briana went to therapy. From her Father leaving and then the awful marriage with Nick, she definitely had been through alot. I'm glad she went to therapy so she can be a better Mother and Wife.

4 stars — This book could have been a rounded up to 4.5 or even full 5 stars if it was trimmed by at least 25%. Honestly, I just got frustrated. Miscommunication is one of my least favourite tropes, but for a time I actually got it with Jacob and Briana — it made sense because of who they were. But at a certain point I just got annoyed, and it just wasn’t as fun to read anymore. And then there was the conflict at the end that felt kind of unnecessary, though if I’m being real was actually re

Wonderful book. It also weaves in Part of Your World characters from the previous book by Abby Jimenez. The characters are lovable, and you route for them. The narration was fantastic. Finished listening to this too soon.
