About this audiobook

"Despite the challenges--an unreliable narrator, an intricate plot, a shifting timeline, and myriad characters--Stephanie Racine gives a flawless narration of this audiobook...This intense thriller is made even better by her performance." — AudioFile Magazine

From renowned journalist Alice Feeney comes a riveting new audiobook, Sometimes I Lie.

My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.

Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can’t move. She can’t speak. She can’t open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn’t remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it.

Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller audiobook asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

More praise for Sometimes I Lie:

"With tension comparable to 'Gone Girl' and 'The Girl on the Train,' plus the imaginative Now-Then-Before construction, Feeney unfolds just enough in each chapter to keep you page-turning for more, and her character development is excellent." — NJ.Com

My God! What just happened??? Had to put my whole day aside because I couldn't put this down. If you like creepy thrillers with completely unpredictable twists and turns and brilliant narration this is EXACTLY what you're needing. Just don't start it when you have anything else to do.

Sometimes I Lie (Awake When I can't put a book down). This audio book was exceptional. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and Stephanie Racine is AMAZING! I don't know how she managed to do all the different voices, even the voices of the lead characters as children. The plot was more than twisty and I did not see the ending coming. Really well-written with clever descriptions and word pictures. Things like the old woman who was so organized "even her wrinkles were nearly arranged." Filled with clever observations about people and life, it was thoroughly enjoyable. Dark, yes. But fascinating.

Sometimes I Lie is an expertly written psychological suspense story that held my interest throughout. I'm a very picky reader and found no faults with the story, the characters, the plot, etc. The twists and turns kept me engaged and flipping pages. LOVED THIS.
