Stefan Rudnicki is a Grammy-winning audiobook producer and an award-winning narrator who has won several Audie Awards and been named one of AudioFile’s Golden Voices. Stefan’s early singing career included choral and solo concerts at Carnegie Hall, Judson Hall, and Lincoln Center.
Mary Lamb (1764–1847) spent much of her life under the guardianship of her brother Charles because, in a fit of temporary insanity, she attacked and wounded their father and stabbed and killed their mother. Charles had himself declared her guardian to save her from permanent commitment to an asylum, and after 1799 they lived together. Mary was an intelligent and affectionate companion, but the shadow of her madness plagued them for the rest of their lives. However, they did collaborate on several books for children, publishing in 1807 their famous children's collection Tales from Shakespeare.
Charles Lamb (1774-1834) was a nineteenth-century English poet and essayist whose best-known works Essays of Elia and The Last Essays of Elia include such titles as "The Two Races of Men," "Mrs. Battle's Opinions on Whist," "My First Play," "Sanity of True Genius," "Confessions of a Drunkard," and "A Bachelor's Complaint of the Behaviour of Married People." His first poems appeared in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's collection Poems on Various Subjects, and his early epigrams, plays, and essays were printed in such publications as the Albion, the Morning Chronicle, and the Morning Post. Lamb also collaborated with his sister, Mary, on many works, including Tales from Shakespeare, as well as with Charles Lloyd on Blank Verse.
Emily Janice Card is an actor, writer, and singer. In addition to being a narrator, she has directed numerous audiobooks, including the 2007 Audie and Earphones Award winner Hubris, Legacy of Ashes by Pulitzer Prize winner Tim Weiner, and Them by Nathan McCall.
Robertson Dean has acted on- and off-Broadway and in many leading roles at regional theaters throughout the United States. His film work includes Star Trek: Nemesis and Vanilla Sky.
Gabrielle de Cuir is a Grammy-nominated and Audie Award-winning producer whose narration credits include the voice of Valentine in Orson Scott Card’s Ender novels, Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Tombs of Atuan, and Natalie Angier’s Woman, for which she was awarded AudioFile magazine’s Golden Earphones Award. She lives in Los Angeles where she also directs theatre and presently has several projects in various stages of development for film.
Harlan Ellison has won the Edgar, Hugo, and Nebula awards for his speculative fiction. He was named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
Don Leslie has enjoyed a wonderful voiceover, stage, television, and film career. He has appeared on Broadway in The Dresser and Rose. He’s worked at such regional theaters as Buffalo Studio Arena, Hartford Stage Company, Portland Stage Company, and several others. He’s appeared in over 20 films and as many television episodics. His recent audiobook narrations for BOT include The State of Jones by Sally Jenkins, The Man Who Owns the News by Michael Wolffe, and The Nine by Jeffrey Toobin.
Yuri Rasovsky (1944–2012) won wide critical acclaim during his forty-year career as an audio dramatist, writer, producer, and director. His numerous honors included two Peabody Awards, nine Audie Awards, and a Grammy. In 2011, his production for Blackstone, The Mark of Zorro, was nominated for a Grammy. His final production for Blackstone was Die, Snow White! Die, Damn You! He has left behind an incredible legacy.
Lorna Raver, named one of AudioFile magazine’s Best Voices of the Year, has received numerous Audie Award nominations and many AudioFile Earphones Awards. She has appeared on stage in New York, Los Angeles, and regional theaters around the country. Among her many television credits are NYPD Blue, Judging Amy, Boston Legal, ER, and Star Trek. She starred in director Sam Raimi’s film Drag Me to Hell.
Mirron WillisRecently appeared as Banquo (MacBeth) and Antonio (The Merchant of Venice) with the Houston Shakespeare Festival 2015 Season. And last season as King Henry (Henry IV, Part I) and the Duke in The Two Gentlemen of Verona.In three seasons at the Ensemble Theatre (Houston, TX), Mirron appeared as JP in What I Learned in Paris, Malcolm X in The Meeting. Henry in Race, and as Countee Cullen in Knock Me A Kiss (2013 Giorgee Award for Best Leading Actor). Other roles include, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry VI Parts 2 & 3, and A Raisin in the Sun with the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare FestivalMirron has narrated close to 150 audio books across various literary genres and has won several Earphone Awards for Excellence and is an Audie Award finalist and winner. Notable works include The Smokey Dalton Series by Kris Nelscott; My Song: A Memoir by Harry Belafonte; The Long Fall (Booklist, Best of 2009) and others by Walter Mosley; Uncle Toms Cabin, Elijah of Buxton, The Translator; and the biography of William Wells Brown: An African American Life. Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (1918–2014) was born in New York City and trained at the Yale School of Drama. An actor on stage, film, and television, he was also a narrator, voice-over artist, director, and award-winning producer. He is best remembered for his role as investigators on the TV shows 77 Sunset Strip and The FBI.
