Some people will stop at nothing to get what they want...

Formerly homeless hustler Bianca Thomson-Wingarden had it all planned out. She found a rich man to get her pregnant and marry so she could give her child a lavish life of financial security she'd carefully prepared for.

She and her new husband Elvin Wingarden III, heir to the Wingarden billion-dollar dynasty, have the perfect life. They split their time between their upscale condo in the city and their lavish 17-bedroom mansion in the country. They drive the latest luxury vehicles. They don't have to worry about money and she can shower their daughter Evie, their little dog, and their friends with everything they desire.

The trouble is, their perfect life is about to fall apart. Elvin is no longer the charming man she married. And when Elvin's mother decides to hire the mysterious Penny as a live-in nanny to help take care of little Evie, everything starts going wrong in Bianca's life. She gets a terrible suspicion that the new nanny is there to replace her. And why does that nanny look so familiar?

A thrilling suspense filled with dark family secrets, popularity contests, and deception.

This was SUCH an amazing book, I read it in one day! I could not put it down, the moment you think you've got it figured out another twist throws you for a loop! I sincerely suggest reading this one, the author executed a fantastic story!

I read all the time and really try to give fair reviews. However this is one of the most redundant books with background with and the main character's motives over described that I have ever read!! You might as well skip the first four hours of the book because you won't miss anything. The author goes on and on and on about one of the main characters complaints and motives to the point where I could no longer stand it. I kept trying to finish it and trying to finish it, skipping chapter after chapter after chapter. Finally I gave up. What a shame because it could have been a good read. If only the author focused more on the suspense side, perhaps it could have been better. I would hardly call this a thriller and in fact found it to be only constant complaining with a poorly developed plot.

+ Characters are relatable and realistically written. Situations feel lifelike. - Too repetitive! Author, we get it. Bianca hates her mother-in-law and Penny wants her money/needs this job/etc. - Okay, no, even after the twist, the repetition still isn't justified. I get that it was supposed to be a madness mantra, but it wasn't well executed. - Bianca is... insane, actually. Her state of mind made sense at the beginning but towards the end, it just doesn't match up. - I wish we got a look at Vera's point of view throughout all this. - Jeez okay I mean, I had to have tests run on my kid for congenital issues and they were also risky, but no, can't empathize with this woman. She's terrible. - No. Nope. No, you can't have a book be boring and repetitive for 30 chapters and then spring twist after twist on us. + Vera is my favorite character. Well done! + Good to see that at least someone has a good head on their shoulders after all that insanity.
