This is the worst story. Every horrible trope is used to destroy a good idea. Having a (secretly) psychic detective is a good idea. Having her be an alcoholic, maybe. But making this jump around from a kidnapping to a serial killer with a vendetta to a Rescue? Which storyline are you following? Too dangerous to have any contact with her child, yet no work restrictions. An unstable mental health history and still in the FBI? An alcoholic with black out episodes and no supervision? Getting stabbed in the chest, yet treating it like a cut? Yeah, you can just get up and go with no physical effects. Damn, at least Google "Penetrating Chest Trauma Treatment & Management" before you release this book. I have enjoyed listening to these audio books from this author. Even though having a British accent narrator does take you out of the moment. But this is lazy writing. Or..... are we being punked by an A. I. story bot?

I didn't like the narrator AT ALL. why would you use a British narrator for an American book? definitely hard to get into the story hearing American slang coming from an accent. barely finished the book 😞

i felt this one a bit slow compared to others. Also too much of a coincidence/luck to be assigned a case far way and yet related to her. Too good to be true.
