In Trinidad, in 1796, teenage Rosa Rendon quietly but purposefully rebels against typical female roles and behavior. Lauren Francis-Sharma is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Til The Well Runs Dry and Book of the Little Axe. She resides near Washington, DC, with her husband and two children and is the proprietor of the DC Writers' Room and the assistant director of the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference.
