Taken as a single book, this is amazing. As a trilogy, it is truly epic. The sheer amount of thought that has been put into the lore of this universe he creates is staggering. First he scatters pieces and then slowly, perfectly, weaves togerher the in between parts for a hundred small "Oh, that makes perfect sense, why didn't I guess that?" moments. Beyond the lore, the characters were compelling and the story gritty and real. He balances the right amount of description with action. Outstanding.
