School is out for the summer, but not for eighteen-year-old Michael and seventeen-year-old Shelly. The pair of them meet while serving court-ordered community service, and both are driven by secrets and lies. Michael chooses to defy his mother's wishes to leave the past alone and goes digging for information on his father's identity, and Michael learns much more than what he bargained for. In this Coming of Age novel, Michael and Shelly discover a shared passion for Pablo Neruda’s poetry and gradually become more than friends.

Screenwriter, teacher and former radio host, author Laura Moe writes a monthly writing column and currently serves as board president of EPIC Group Writers. in addition to BREAKFAST WITH NERUDA, She is the author of BLUE VALENTINES and THE LANGUAGE OF THE SON. Preston Geer is a native Southern Californian, hailing from the city of Orange. He attended California State University, Fullerton, where he received Bachelor's degrees in both Military History and Film/TV Production. Upon graduation, Preston interned with famed director Ridley Scott's production companies (RSA and Scott Free). He written, acted, and produced numerous award winning projects. Aside from narrating audiobooks, Preston is a working actor, screenwriter, and producer. He continues to consume an inexcusable amount of comic books on a regular basis.
