About this audiobook

Renee keeps a diary after she finds out her daddy is sick with cancer. She even starts praying and asking God to make him better. But, what if he doesn’t get any better?

She is worried that she won’t be able to talk to her daddy after he has gone, but her daddy encourages her to keep talking to him, no matter what.

“But how will I know if you can hear me?” she asks.

“Just have faith,” her daddy answers.

Even as he becomes sicker and weaker, she learns about the meaning of faith and sees how we can still have peace and joy during such a difficult time.

It is not easy to talk to your kids about the difficult and uncomfortable topics of death, loss and grief. Hopefully, with this book, readers can be uplifted and learn about how faith in Christ can bring us peace and comfort, knowing that death is not the end, but the beginning of an eternity with our Father in Heaven.

A beautiful story Everything about this book is gentle and soft and ultimately positive. This touching story covers loss and grief, yet is reassuring and comforting like a big warm hug. The author delivers this in a masterful way. A book that most will be able to relate to. I love that Renee started a diary but those butterfly’s got me near the end and made me tear up.

"Can You Hear Me, Daddy?" is the story of a young girl, Renee, who must deal with her father's cancer diagnosis. As his health deteriorates, she records her thoughts and feelings in a diary. She struggles to accept the worsening news, and to understand how God could allow such a thing to happen. Will her father die? And, if so, will she still be able to talk to him? This powerful audiobook deals with a difficult topic and does so brilliantly. The narrator does a great job of conveying Renee's fears and doubts. This is a sad, but ultimately uplifting tale, as Renee finds solace in her faith. Recommended.
