Advance praise for Something in the Water

“With unreliable characters, wry voices, exquisite pacing, and a twisting plot, [Catherine] Steadman potently draws upon her acting chops. . . . A darkly glittering gem of a thriller from a new writer to watch.”Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

“Captivating . . . daring . . . The threats and increasingly bad decisions accelerate with Bourne-like velocity. . . . Steadman [is] a newcomer worth watching.”Publishers Weekly

“An unbearably tense debut with a knockout premise, Something in the Water had me hooked from the very first sentence. Thrilling and thought-provoking, it’s the perfect beach read. I devoured it!”—Riley Sager, bestselling author of Final Girls

Slow burn for the first couple of chapters then it opens up wide and youre hooked. I rated one star below perfect bc there were loose ends I wished were addressed. Otherwise the story and the narration kept me intrigued!

This book has me hooked from the first line right through to the end. From the very first chapter you're plunged into this story with both feet. It does get a little slow at times but I promise it is building up to something. I listened to it on audio during a long road trip and found myself walking around my house doing chores with my headphones on so I could finish it up once I got home. The narration was wonderful! I love it when the author not only narrates their own book but does it WELL!

Took a pause for a few days in the beginning. Picked it back up and couldn't for the life of me put it down again.
