Andrew Forsha
Such remarkable journalism. The author lives in the Soviet Union during this unstable time, which gives him first-hand knowledge, along with the ability to interview sources directly, whether they are ordinary people, or state officials and leaders. It is lyrically written and reflective. As I listened to it, I almost felt like he was sitting in a room with me, telling me how this great superpower collapsed. At the heart of it is a reflection on Lenin, Stalin, communism- the State they created.
