In the 1970s, Dr. Alan Scott sought to selectively weaken eye muscles to treat strabismus (when one or both eyes are misaligned) without surgery. Eugene M. Helveston, MD, is Emeritus professor of ophthalmology at the IU School of Medicine. Helveston's honors include the Kellogg Scholar Award, the Humanitarian of the Year and Silver Recognition Award, and the Outstanding Humanitarian and Life Achievement Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Kyle Snyder is a classically trained pianist with thirty-five years of experience. He enjoys playing sports, cooking, board games, and, of course, narrating audiobooks. His favorite genre is science fiction. He lives in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, with his wife and four kids.
