A beautifully written story with the main character being the river. Reminiscent of folk tale and fairy tale it never the less brings forth a fascinating realistic look at its characters and their lives. A mystery at heart with many twists and turns,as river often do,and brings you to the resolve in neat fashion. Aside from the Darwinian views displayed at the end, I very much loved this book! Highly recommend!

the tapestry and lyricism of this book is storytelling at it's very highest pinnacle. it ebbed and flowed and meandered while always staying true true it's watery core it is truly a book that I wanted never to end. 10/10 five stars highly recommend
