This book provides excellent insights for those in education and those who affect education. This book points out the barriers to academic success without pointing fingers at anyone. It has a solution-based approach to writing. I enjoyed the short stories at the beginning of each chapter and especially the bonus chapter. I could relate as a parent, an educator, and a former marginalized student. This should be a must-read for new educators and veteran educators.
