Actual Rating - 3.75☆ Heart Seeker is the first book in The Fire Heart Chronicles following college student and dance instructor Mirella. Mirella has always been aware of her strong intuition. She has connected the dots between herself and a string of attacks on the people she has surrounded herself with during her entire life. It's not until she comes face to face that the masked men and the mysterious warriors that she learns her natural sixth sense is due to her ancient bloodline. She is much more powerful than she knows. I enjoyed this audiobook. Joanna Roddy was a great narrator and really made Mirella come to life for me. I love cultural elements in world-building. Juliana did a great job describing the myths, legends, and overall way of life as a tzigane. She has piqued my interest. I will definitely be reading/listening to the rest of the series.

I've read a lot of books, and I listened to this one because it was free. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I really enjoyed this book and now I'm excited to listen to the rest of the series. This book is different from the run of the mill supernatural books I've read before.
