Visitors to Indiana Dunes State Park can hike the sand mountains that tower over beautiful Lake Michigan and see the city of Chicago in the distance. Bird watchers can find a copious number of waterfowls, songbirds and other avian treats in the marshes in the park. Sun worshipers can swim and lounge along the immense sand beaches that line the Lake Michigan shoreline. Camping, fishing and picnicking are also fun activities at the park.

Batesville, Indiana native Author Paul R. Wonning considers himself an "Indiana Hound," because he likes to "sniff" out the interesting places and history of Indiana and then use his books to reveal them to his readers. He also enjoys gardening, American history and dabbles in writing fantasy and humorous fiction.

Paul currently lives and writes near Napoleon, Indiana with his wife and two cats.
