A wrenching account of life in blue-collar America, this is a story about a boxer from a boxing family and a boxing town—Ward's dramatic victories inside the ring are recounted in gripping detail, but it is his victory outside the ring that inspires.

Bob Halloran is the weekend news and sports anchor at WCVB-TV in Boston. He is also a former ESPN anchor and columnist for ESPN.com. Halloran was a consultant in the making of The Fighter, a film about the Micky Ward story released in 2010. He has worked as a news and sports anchor in New England for over twenty years, and he writes a weekly column for the Boston Metro newspaper.
Bronson Pinchot, an Audie Award–winning narrator and Audible’s Narrator of the Year for 2010, received his education at Yale University. He restores Greek Revival buildings and appears in television, film, and on stage whenever the pilasters and entablatures overwhelm him.
